Giving back to the community is an important part of Lisa's life. She has served on the AAF–GF board of directors as Treasurer, two-time ADDY Awards co-chair, Programs Director, and Public Service Director. Lisa has served on the AAF–GF's ADDY Awards committee since 2005 and as a portfolio reviewer for the AAF–GF/AIGA Student Portfolio Boot Camp since 2009. In 2010, Lisa was honored with the G.D. Crain Jr. Memorial Award for her work with local and national non-profit organizations and was honored with U.S. Army commendations for contributions to the U.S. Military. For her dedicated volunteer service and contributions to the AAF–GF, Lisa was recognized with the Advertising Federation's 2011 Crystal Prism award.

A graduate of the Frederick Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, Lisa continues her community service through volunteer work with several non-profit organizations.
