Jean Peterson
Jean Peterson began her career as a graphic designer in 1977, gaining experience over the years working with a community newspaper, a printing company and a graphic design firm until 1996 when she established Jean Peterson Design (JPD).
Since founding JPD, she has taken the company from a small print design studio to a full-service advertising agency. Highly experienced with local and national businesses, as well as non-profits, she is involved with every project, ensuring that objectives are met and messages are creatively communicated. She oversees the development, design and production of all company efforts, always seeking solutions that surpass client expectations.
Passionate about effective design, Jean is equally committed to our community. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek. Early in her service to Rotary she joined the newsletter committee. As current chair of the committee, she has elevated the publication to an award-winning monthly newletter. She continuously gives time to volunteer efforts organized by the club, including service projects at Heartly House and Lincoln Elementary School. Jean has fervently supported the Greater Frederick Advertising Federation by holding elected office, serving on the board of directors and numerous committees, donating in-kind services and providing financial sponsorships throughout the years.
Jean encourages JPD team members to give back to the community by donating time and design services to local non-profit organizations. She believes that by doing such, the company is helping to make Frederick a great place to live, work and play.
