Emily Dorr

Emily Dorr has worked for more than 10 years at Jean Peterson Design in Frederick, MD and currently serves as Art Director. Emily leads the creative team of designers whose work has been recognized annually with many regional and national awards.

Emily has worked to help grow the company into a full-service advertising agency with interactive and media planning services. She works closely with every client, to help them make guided decisions for their advertising and design needs.

Since graduating from Shepherd University in 1998 Emily has become an active member of several community and national organizations. Emily's service began on the board for the Greater Frederick Advertising Federation, the local chapter of the national organization American Advertising Federation (AAF). Emily has served the club in numerous capacities. Most notably, as President and twice as co-chair for the ADDY Awards ceremony, the club's largest fundraising event. She also served the AAF for two terms on the board of directors of District Two, a district that encompasses the eastern seaboard from New York to Maryland.

Following her graduation from Leadership Frederick County, Emily became involved with and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Baker Park, where she donated not only her design talents but also her time for park maintenance. Additionally, Emily has donated her time and graphic design talents to the Luce Fund, which is associated with the Lucy School in Middletown, MD, an arts-based curriculum school and teaching center.
